Analysis of the on-site railway and interface optimization between on-site railway, warehousing, production sites and terminals.
Industriepark Höchst, which has grown over time, is subject to a continuous optimization process to meet the latest market demands. For future site development TransCare analyzed the complete on-site railway logistics. As part of a holistic approach, the interfaces between the individual areas of plant rail, warehouse logistics and production sites as well as the area of terminal operations were optimized. By means of modular layout planning, capacities were adapted to growth forecasts, always with the aim of reducing logistics costs while increasing sales. In 2004, the terminal expansion was put into operation.
