CFL multimodal operates several warehouses as well as an intermodal terminal and a ModaLohr-terminal. Furthermore it is planned to construct a multi-modal terminal with several modules to strengthen Bettembourg as centre for logistics activities.
Overview of intermodal terminals
A summary of all relevant terminals within a radius of 200 km of Bettembourg was the basis for the market study. The most important key figures of the various terminals were researched and prepared for comparison. For CFL multimodal, it was not only important to get an overview of the terminal locations, but also of the relevant transport flows. Therefore TransCare analyzed intermodal transports within the area of interest with regard to number and frequency of trains. The transport flows were classified by hinterland and continental traffic.
