Top Class Speakers at First Logistics Conference for the GCC States

Speeches by two Ministers of the Kingdom of Bahrain

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Kingdom of Bah-rain, H.E. Zayed R. Alzayani, and his colleague H.E. Kamal bin Ahmed Mo-hammed, Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, shall each give a speech at the 1st GCC Logistics Conference “Costs and Challenges”. The conference shall take place in Manama, the capital of Bahrain, from March 30th to March 31st, 2016. It aims at strengthening the rapidly growing transport and logistics market in the Kingdom.

In addition to the two ministers, numerous national and international top level executives of well-known manufacturers, retailers and logistics service providers such as DHL, Aramex and BASF shall discuss the development of logistics markets in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The list of speakers includes Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, Chief Executive Officer, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company B.S.C., and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer, Chairman of the Executive Board, BVL International, The Global Supply Chain Network. During the two day conference, all GCC states (Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman) will be in the focus of the six discussion panels.

The event, which is organized by the German consultancy TransCare GmbH, is endorsed by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB). Currently, TransCare is also responsible for the market development of the logistics sector on behalf of the Government of Bahrain.
