We are a team of experienced consultants with exceptional expertise and market knowledge. Our senior managers, transport experts, economists, railroad specialists and engineers have many years of experience in the market. Depending on the assignment and project, we put together a powerful team for our clients on an individual basis. If necessary, we can call on additional consultants at short notice.

TransCare was founded in 1993 by Ralf Jahncke in Wiesbaden. The experienced transport expert is still managing partner today. After studying transport management at Heilbronn University, Jahncke initially worked for a medium-sized freight forwarding company. From 1987 to 1993, he was managing director of Kombiverkehr Deutsche Gesellschaft für kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co. KG in Frankfurt/Main and later also of the newly founded Kombiwaggon GmbH, which he himself initiated. He developed Kombiverkehr as a rail services company into the leading provider of combined rail-road transport in Europe. During his professional career, Jahncke lectured at Heilbronn University and was a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Umschlaggesellschaft Straße-Schiene (DUSS), Combined Transport Limited (CTL) and Kombi Basel AG, among others. Since 1988 he has been a member of the Freight Transport Advisory Board at Heilbronn University, since 1998 a member of the Intermodal Working Group at the German Logistics Association. Since 2003 Jahncke is a member of the Executive Board “transport logistic” of Messe München GmbH. At the German Transport Forum, Jahncke is also a member of the steering committees for freight transport, rail transport, ports and shipping.

Prof. Axel Salzmann has been a partner at TransCare since June 1, 2023. As the long-time head of the KRAVAG Competence Center for Road Transport and Logistics, he is a renowned expert in transport law and insurance, as well as a seasoned connoisseur of the transport and logistics industry. The lawyer and long-time owner of a law firm specializing in commercial law in Augsburg has contributed to the further development of important industry laws and general terms and conditions. As a member of many association and entrepreneurial councils, Prof. Salzmann is familiar with the challenges and changes in practice and has access to a large network. As an honorary professor of transport law and risk management in the field of commercial law, he accompanies economic studies and takes teaching assignments at the Fachhochschule Heide (FHW), the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR), and the Kühne Logistics University (KLU). With Prof. Salzmann, another competent industry insider strengthens TransCare’s M&A business.

Marius Neininger with his company, Neininger GmbH, has been a partner at TransCare since the start of 2024. Neininger was previously Head of European Land Transport at Swiss Post and Managing Director of Bächle Logistics GmbH in Villingen-Schwenningen. Following the takeover of the company by Swiss Post CH in 2018, he also became a member of the management team of the PostLogistics division and the M&A team in Dintikon, Switzerland. From 2021 onwards, the business administration graduate worked in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein and Lithuania as a managing director, board member or authorized signatory in various subsidiaries of Swiss Post CH. He managed all of Swiss Post’s acquisitions in Germany and Lithuania and successfully integrated the forwarding companies into the organization. The logistics and M&A expert is actively involved in numerous industry and business associations and has excellent contacts with freight forwarders and bus companies – in the DACH region as well as in Italy and the Baltic states. With Neininger, a partner with extensive experience is strengthening our consulting team. He will contribute his extensive network to our fast-growing M&A business in particular.
